Today Disneyland announced that their Disneyland Annual Passholder program is no more for the near future. APs as we know them are gone forever. A replacement program will be announced once Disneyland reopens and they reach close to full capacity again.

While this change is sad to us passholders, it isn't unexpected. People have been saying it's possible that annual passes will change for a few years now, and Covid has given Disneyland the opportunity to do so. The biggest program with the AP program is currently most passholders can go to the Disney Parks at any time. While this is great for customers, it is difficult for Disney to predict crowd levels at the parks.

There are forecasts that it will be a member program or something similar to the most recent Passholder program-Flex Pass where people have to book their visits in advance. We probably won't see what the new program is for a few years since Disneyland isn't even open at the moment.

Personally, I am sad to see the possible end of days where I can go to Disneyland at any time. It truly was a luxury that I did not fully appreciate until it was taken from me. Though regardless, I will be going to the parks as often as I can because I truly miss Disneyland.
